Food Laboratory Analyst to join a leading food processing company in Dubai, UAE. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in chemical analysis, nutritional testing, and laboratory quality control within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
Food Laboratory Analysts are essential in ensuring food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance in the UAE food industry. With increasing demand for food testing laboratories in UAE, HACCP certification, and ISO 22000 food safety systems, skilled lab professionals are highly valued across FMCG and food manufacturing sectors.
This role is ideal for candidates experienced in chemical, microbiological, and nutritional analysis of food products, supporting safe production and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance by conducting accurate laboratory testing and maintaining adherence to international laboratory standards and food safety systems.
Job Responsibilities – Food Lab Analyst (Dubai, UAE)
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Perform chemical, physical, and nutritional analysis of food products in accordance with approved laboratory methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing using advanced analytical techniques to support food quality assurance and control.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with internal laboratory protocols and international standards.
Instrument Operation & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instruments such as HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), GC-FID (Gas Chromatography – Flame Ionization Detector), and ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry).
- Perform routine calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
Data Management & Documentation
- Accurately record, review, and validate analytical data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, reports, and documentation in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Ensure traceability and integrity of all laboratory data and test results.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), food safety standards, and laboratory safety regulations.
- Verify test results and release reports only when quality control criteria and validation requirements are met.
- Support internal and external laboratory audits, inspections, and certifications.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Identify, investigate, and report any analytical deviations, equipment malfunctions, or process inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with the laboratory supervisor and QA team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory performance and efficiency.

Job Requirements – Food Laboratory Analyst Jobs UAE
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a food, FMCG, or chemical analytical laboratory.
- Proven experience in food testing, nutritional analysis, and quality control laboratories.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as:
- HPLC
- GC-FID
- ICP-OES
- Strong knowledge and application of:
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards
- Laboratory audits and compliance requirements
- Experience using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
- Knowledge of statistical quality control methods is an added advantage.
