F&B Consultants hiring a Senior Food Safety Officer to join a leading Food & Beverage consulting company in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving food safety, hygiene, quality assurance, and occupational health & safety systems across food production and service operations. This role requires strong expertise in HACCP, ISO 22000, Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, risk assessments, internal audits, food hygiene inspections, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will work closely with operational teams, management, and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety are maintained.
Job Responsibilities
Food Safety & Quality Management
- Implement, monitor, and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in accordance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety regulations.
- Conduct routine food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and GMP inspections across kitchens, food production areas, warehouses, and storage facilities.
- Perform internal food safety audits and verify compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and evaluate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) following audit findings.
- Monitor food handling practices to ensure compliance with food hygiene standards.
- Maintain food traceability systems and ensure accurate documentation.
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, food contamination issues, and suspected food poisoning cases.
- Identify food safety risks and recommend preventive measures.
- Report structural, operational, or sanitation deficiencies affecting food safety.
- Ensure management is informed of high-risk food safety concerns and regulatory compliance issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen food safety culture.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and prepare comprehensive risk assessments.
- Review and update company Safety Statements, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Risk Assessments.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses while ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Prepare accident reports and maintain records for insurance and regulatory purposes.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Enforce company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Review contractor and subcontractor safety compliance documentation.
- Coordinate Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) renewals with relevant departments.
Training & Compliance
- Deliver food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and workplace safety induction training for new employees and contractors.
- Identify ongoing food safety and health & safety training requirements.
- Monitor staff competency in food hygiene practices.
- Ensure mandatory training programs remain current and fully documented.
- Promote a proactive food safety and workplace safety culture throughout the organization.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete records of audits, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare food safety performance reports and management presentations.
- Assist the Food Safety & Quality Department with compliance documentation and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain accurate records supporting ISO and HACCP requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- Level 2 HACCP Certification (Mandatory).
- ISO 22000 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification is an advantage.
- Additional Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or Quality certifications are preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Food Safety Officer, Senior Food Safety Officer, QA Officer, or Food Safety Specialist.
- Experience within F&B Consulting, Hospitality, Hotels, Catering, Cloud Kitchens, Central Kitchens, Food Manufacturing, or Restaurant Operations.
- Strong understanding of UAE food safety regulations, HACCP principles, ISO 22000, GMP, GHP, and sanitation standards.
- Experience conducting food safety inspections, audits, investigations, and compliance assessments.

The Senior Food Safety Officer has the authority to:
- Stop food production or service activities that pose food safety risks.
- Reject raw materials or suspend suppliers that fail to meet statutory or company food safety requirements.
- Recommend disciplinary action against employees violating food safety or hygiene standards.
- Escalate critical food safety risks directly to senior management.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality Food Code and UAE food safety regulations.
- Self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary operational teams.
