A leading cosmetics company in Sharjah is looking for a Research and Development Officer – R&D Officer to join its Biotech growing team. This opportunity is ideal for Biotechnology professionals with experience in cosmetic product research and development, formulation support, product documentation, and UAE cosmetic compliance.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting research and development activities, conducting cosmetic market analysis, coordinating product testing, and assisting in the creation of innovative beauty and personal care products aligned with market trends and company objectives.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research on cosmetic products, active ingredients, formulations, raw materials, and emerging beauty industry trends
- Support new product development (NPD) activities for skincare, haircare, personal care, and cosmetic products
- Assist in improving existing formulations to enhance product performance, stability, and quality
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, procurement, regulatory, and marketing teams during product development stages
- Prepare technical documentation, product specifications, formulation records, and development reports.
- Support laboratory trials, product testing, stability studies, and validation activities
- Monitor competitor products, market innovations, and customer trends within the cosmetics industry
- Ensure products comply with UAE cosmetic regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Maintain organized R&D records, product samples, testing data, and formulation files
- Participate in troubleshooting formulation or production-related challenges
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new cosmetic ingredients and raw material suppliers
- Ensure adherence to GMP, quality standards, and company development procedures
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field
- 3–5 years of experience in the UAE cosmetics industry, preferably in research and development
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and product development processes
- Experience in cosmetic product research, technical documentation, and market analysis.
- Good understanding of UAE cosmetic regulations, product registration, and compliance standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet development timelines
