The Laboratory Technician will support the daily operations of a modern genomics laboratory by performing laboratory technical tasks, maintaining equipment, organizing laboratory materials, and assisting scientists with research activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to laboratory safety procedures, and the ability to maintain accurate laboratory records while supporting molecular biology and genomics projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform assigned laboratory technical and operational activities in accordance with established laboratory procedures.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory and ongoing scientific projects.
- Assist research scientists with laboratory experiments and molecular biology workflows.
- Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, reagents, and materials for routine laboratory activities.
- Wash, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment following biosafety and laboratory quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and promptly report equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspaces.
- Handle laboratory samples and consumables according to laboratory protocols.
- Assist with laboratory inventory management, stock monitoring, and ordering of laboratory supplies.
- Record laboratory activities, sample information, and operational data accurately within laboratory documentation systems.
- Maintain complete laboratory records to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory quality systems, and biosafety guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and workflow.
Job Qualifications

Experience – Biotechnologist
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
