A leading Water Bottling Company in Dubai, UAE is looking for Quality Technician to support quality control, laboratory testing, food safety, and production quality activities within its bottled drinking water manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in bottled water or beverage manufacturing, particularly within a high-volume production environment. The role involves monitoring water treatment and bottling processes, conducting laboratory testing, performing quality inspections, maintaining food safety records, and supporting HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO-based quality systems.Candidates with relevant UAE or GCC experience in the bottled water or beverage industry are preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct daily quality control (QC) activities across water treatment, production lines, online quality checks, and laboratory operations in accordance with approved SOPs.
- Collect and test samples of raw water, treated water, process water, finished bottled water, raw materials, and packaging materials.
- Perform routine chemical and physical analysis to verify compliance with established quality specifications.
- Monitor critical quality parameters throughout the water treatment, purification, filling, and bottling processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of production and processing areas for compliance with GMP, GHP, hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety requirements.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and relevant food safety controls.
- Verify implementation of prerequisite programs, including cleaning and sanitation, pest control, personal hygiene, and environmental hygiene.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and other production inputs for conformity with approved specifications.
- Identify quality deviations and non-conformities and support the implementation of NCR, CAPA, corrective action, and preventive action procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC, laboratory, HACCP, ISO, inspection, sampling, and testing records.
- Assist with internal audits, external audits, customer complaints, market returns, and product quality investigations.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other operational departments to ensure quality and food safety requirements are consistently followed.
- Monitor quality trends and escalate recurring or significant quality issues to the relevant management team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, food safety, production processes, and laboratory operations.
- Operate laboratory equipment and automated water treatment plant systems safely and according to established procedures.
- Ensure laboratory testing and sampling activities are performed accurately, safely, and within specified testing schedules.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA).
- Experience in the bottled water, beverage, FMCG, or food manufacturing industry is essential.
- UAE or GCC experience in the bottled water or beverage industry is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience in a high-volume bottled water or beverage manufacturing plant.
- Candidates without relevant UAE/GCC bottled water or beverage manufacturing experience may not be considered.
- Strong understanding of quality control systems within a bottled drinking water or beverage production environment.
- Good knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, food safety management systems, SOPs, and prerequisite programs (PRPs).
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, purification systems, and key water quality parameters.
- Practical experience in laboratory sampling, testing, chemical analysis, and physical analysis.
- Knowledge of CCPs, quality specifications, NCRs, CAPA, root cause analysis, and audit procedures.
- Ability to identify quality deviations and effectively communicate issues to production and management teams.
- Good documentation, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Education
Applicants should have one of the following or an equivalent qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Production/Industrial Engineering
- Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline may be considered based on industry experience.
