Job Responsibilities
1. Food Safety & Quality Compliance
- Conduct daily food safety and quality audits across the dark store facility.
- Monitor compliance with applicable UAE food safety regulations, hygiene requirements, and company food safety procedures.
- Ensure operational teams follow established food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Identify potential food safety hazards and escalate issues promptly.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions.
2. Cold Chain & Temperature Monitoring
- Monitor temperature controls for chilled, frozen, and other temperature-sensitive products.
- Conduct and document temperature checks throughout the receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch processes.
- Ensure cold chain integrity is maintained for perishable food products.
- Report temperature deviations and support appropriate corrective actions.
- Verify that refrigerators, freezers, and other temperature-controlled areas are operating within specified limits.
3. Incoming Stock Quality Inspection
- Inspect incoming products for quality, packaging condition, labelling, shelf life, and product specifications.
- Check expiry dates and ensure products meet minimum shelf-life requirements.
- Identify damaged, contaminated, expired, or non-conforming products.
- Verify product information and labelling during receiving operations.
- Coordinate with relevant teams regarding rejected or non-conforming stock.
4. Hygiene & Sanitation Monitoring
- Conduct regular inspections of facility cleanliness and hygiene conditions.
- Monitor employee personal hygiene and food handling practices.
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed correctly.
- Monitor pest control activities and scheduled pest management services.
- Identify hygiene deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions.
- Help maintain a clean and food-safe working environment.
5. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate digital records of food safety and quality inspections.
- Record temperature monitoring results, audit findings, corrective actions, and non-conformities.
- Maintain documentation related to hygiene, sanitation, pest control, and product inspections.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reporting.
- Ensure food safety records are complete, accurate, and readily available when required.
Job Qualification
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Food Technology
- Food Science
- Food Science & Technology
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Food Safety
- Dairy Technology
- Agricultural/Food-related Sciences
- Or another relevant scientific discipline
Recent graduates and freshers are encouraged to apply.

Shift Flexibility
The role is part of a 24/7 operational environment, and candidates must be willing to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
