Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager for a leading retail FMCG organization in Sharjah. This is an excellent opportunity for food safety professionals looking to advance their careers in food quality management, regulatory compliance, and retail food safety operations.

The FSQA Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all food products meet international food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while maintaining high-quality benchmarks across retail and supply chain operations.

Job Responsibilities – FSQA Manager

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) including HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000
  • Ensure full compliance with local UAE food regulations and international standards such as FDA and FSSAI (where applicable)
  • Lead internal audits, supplier audits, and third-party inspections, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities
  • Monitor and control quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes across retail and food handling operations.

  • Manage customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis to ensure food safety across the supply chain
  • Oversee supplier quality assurance programs, including vendor approval and performance monitoring
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and compliance records aligned with food safety standards
  • Train and educate staff on food hygiene, GMP, GHP, and food safety best practices
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and R&D teams to ensure consistent product quality and safety

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or Food Science
  • 2–8 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or FSQA roles in FMCG or retail
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
    • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
    • GHP (Good Hygiene Practices)
    • ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 Food Safety Standards
  • Professional certifications such as HACCP Certification or Lead Auditor (ISO 22000/FSSC 22000) are highly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage audits, compliance, and documentation effectively
