Food Quality Assurance Executive vacancy for a catering and hospitality Industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining food safety, quality assurance systems, and regulatory compliance across kitchen operations, catering units, and food production facilities.

Food Safety Officers with strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and quality control procedures within the food service, catering, or hospitality industry. The Quality Assurance Executive will work closely with kitchen teams, production staff, and management to ensure all food products meet local regulatory requirements and international food safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

Food Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Abu Dhabi food safety regulations.
  • Monitor food preparation, handling, storage, and transportation processes to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections in kitchens, catering production units, and food storage areas.
  • Verify that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food safety and quality control are properly implemented.
  • Ensure all food products meet quality specifications, freshness standards, and customer requirements.

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality food safety regulations and hospitality industry standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation for HACCP plans, food safety records, and audit reports.
  • Assist in external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification processes.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions related to non-conformities and food safety incidents.

Audits & Inspections

  • Conduct internal food safety and hygiene audits across catering facilities and kitchens.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and ingredients to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor temperature control, sanitation practices, pest control programs, and cleaning procedures.
  • Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions to maintain food safety compliance.

Training & Staff Awareness

  • Provide food safety and hygiene training to kitchen staff, catering teams, and food handlers.
  • Promote a strong food safety culture within the organization.
  • Ensure all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and sanitation standards.

Quality Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audit findings, corrective actions, and compliance reports.
  • Analyze quality trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve food quality, safety procedures, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or quality control within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, food hygiene regulations, and food safety management systems.
  • Experience conducting internal audits, inspections, and food safety compliance checks.
  • Certification in HACCP or Food Safety Level 3 is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality or UAE food safety regulations is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced catering and hospitality environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting tools.
