Food Safety Auditor

A reputed food consultancy and training company specialising in food safety management systems is expanding its audit team! Looking for a qualified and experienced Food Safety Auditor to perform professional audits, evaluate food safety systems, and ensure client compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and other food safety standards across South India.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse clients in the food manufacturing, processing, and catering industries while contributing to the continuous improvement of food safety culture in India.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct third-party and internal food safety audits for clients in accordance with FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 standards.
• Review and verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, and GHP requirements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting non-conformities, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and food safety training to client teams when required.
• Support clients in implementing and maintaining food safety management systems (FSMS).
• Stay updated on regulatory standards and certification body requirements.
• Ensure professionalism, confidentiality, and objectivity during all audit engagements.

Job Qualifications

• Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience conducting food safety audits.
• Educational background in Food Technology, Microbiology, or Food Science.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP, and global food safety standards.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu and South India.
