Biotech Lab Technician – Research

A research and lab Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Biotech Lab Technician – Research with the following:,

Responsibilities

Laboratory Experiments & Research Support:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), gel electrophoresis, ELISA, Western blotting, cell culture, and microbial analysis.
• Support the design and execution of experiments under the supervision of senior researchers or scientists.
• Accurately record experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.

Reagent & Sample Preparation:

• Prepare and standardize reagents, buffers, growth media, and other solutions according to established protocols.
• Label and store biological samples, reagents, and chemicals in compliance with laboratory guidelines.

Instrument Handling & Maintenance:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain essential lab equipment such as centrifuges, spectrophotometers, incubators, PCR machines, biosafety cabinets, and autoclaves.
• Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on instruments to ensure optimal functionality.

Data Management & Reporting:

• Collect, process, and analyze raw data using laboratory software and Excel spreadsheets.
• Prepare detailed reports, charts, and graphs to present experimental findings.
• Assist in compiling documentation for research publications, grant proposals, and internal reports.

Lab Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of biological and chemical waste according to local biosafety regulations.
• Participate in internal audits and contribute to maintaining ISO/GLP/GMP compliance in the lab environment.

Inventory & Logistics

• Monitor laboratory inventory and ensure availability of consumables, chemicals, and equipment.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to place orders and track supplies.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of molecular biology and microbiological techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality standards such as GLP, GMP, and ISO 17025.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools; experience with LIMS is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Biotechnology Job-Dubai

• Prior experience working in biotechnology or pharmaceutical R&D labs in the UAE or GCC.
• Awareness of Dubai Municipality, MOHAP, or international biosafety regulations.
