Accor Hotels, the luxury chain of Hospitality Industry is hiring a Food Safety and Hygiene Manager in Doha, Qatar:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Develop and implement food safety policies, procedures, and protocols based on regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of food safety programs and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
  • Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry trends and ensure that our practices are up to date and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities, inspections, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless implementation of food safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP), and quality management systems.
  • Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
