Sr. Executive – QC Microbiology in Bangalore, india to support laboratory operations, microbial testing, validation, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in pharmaceutical microbiology, sterile testing, and environmental monitoring.

Job Responsibilities – QC Microbiologist

Microbiological Testing & Analysis

  • Perform bioburden testing, microbial limit tests (MLT), and test for specified organisms
  • Conduct sterility testing and validation activities
  • Execute Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET) as per pharmacopeial standards
  • Analyze water samples including PW, WFI, and purified water systems
  • Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples

Method Validation & Laboratory Activities

  • Conduct microbial method validation and verification
  • Support media preparation, sterilization, and growth promotion testing
  • Maintain microbial cultures and stock inventory
  • Ensure proper media disposal and contamination control practices
  • Perform calibration, qualification, and requalification of microbiology equipment

Environmental & Utility Monitoring

  • Execute environmental monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms and controlled areas
  • Conduct utility monitoring for microbiological quality compliance
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Handle deviations, CAPA, change controls, and incident investigations
  • Conduct OOS (Out of Specification) and OOT (Out of Trend) investigations
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, protocols, and validation reports
  • Ensure data integrity and documentation compliance

Sample & Documentation Management

  • Manage sample receipt, tracking, and release coordination
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
  • Review microbiology reports and ensure compliance with quality standards

EHS & Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and SOPs
  • Ensure safe laboratory practices and compliance with company policies
  • Participate in mandatory safety and data integrity training programs
  • Promote a safety-first culture within the microbiology team
  • Monitor and review safety metrics and compliance standards

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in pharmaceutical microbiology and sterile testing
  • Hands-on experience in environmental monitoring and water testing
  • Excellent documentation and data integrity skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, GMP-regulated environments
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with flexibility to work in shift-based roles

Education

  • M.Sc. in Microbiology (Mandatory)
