Job Responsibilities

  • Perform and maintain mammalian cell culture, including routine passaging, cryopreservation, and experimental setup.
  • Conduct molecular biology assays, such as real-time PCR (qPCR) and western blotting, to analyze gene and protein expression.

  • Support bio-imaging experiments, including sample preparation, image acquisition, and data interpretation.
  • Operate and assist with confocal microscopy for cellular and molecular imaging studies.
  • Use image analysis software to process and quantify microscopy data.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and consumables in compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare reagents, buffers, and culture media according to established protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, data recording, and maintenance of laboratory notebooks and digital records.
  • Assist principal investigators and research staff with experimental planning and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary research teams while demonstrating the ability to work independently.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or Biotechnology a closely related life science discipline.
  • Proven hands-on experience with cell culture techniques.
  • Working knowledge of western blotting, qPCR, and basic molecular biology workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research-focused academic environment.
  • Experience with confocal microscopy and advanced imaging techniques.
  • Familiarity with image analysis software for quantitative data interpretation.
  • Previous experience in an academic or research laboratory setting is an advantage.
