Quality Administrator – Officer wanted at a leading Agri FMCG for Frozen Food Units for the UAE location with food safety experience:

Job Responsibilities

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
    • Develop, review, and implement SOPs to ensure alignment with food safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Maintain controlled documents and ensure version control of SOPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Regulatory & Certification Compliance:
    • Ensure day-to-day operations comply with BRC, FSSC 22000, GMP, and Halal standards.
    • Support readiness for certification and surveillance audits through gap assessments and internal checks.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits and supplier audits.
    • Participate in external food safety, regulatory, and customer audits by preparing documentation and supporting the audit team.
    • Draft audit reports, identify non-conformities, and coordinate the implementation and closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Training & Awareness:
    • Conduct in-house food safety training for employees across departments.
    • Coordinate with training providers for external courses when needed.
    • Track training records and evaluate training effectiveness.


  • Customer and Supplier Management:
    • Handle customer complaints by conducting root cause analysis and preparing CAR (Corrective Action Reports).
    • Ensure timely and effective closure of all complaints in coordination with the Quality Manager.
    • Maintain updated company profiles and technical documentation on customer portals.
  • Product Quality & Food Safety Monitoring:
    • Perform inspections and analyses of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Report any deviations or non-conformities in line with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
    • Support the Quality Manager in overseeing quality metrics that impact product safety, legality, and consistency.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly quality reports, audit summaries, and training status updates.
    • Maintain detailed records for all documentation related to SOPs, audit findings, product testing, and improvement actions.

  • Health, Safety & Workplace Conduct:
    • Adhere to all company safety guidelines and workplace policies.
    • Promptly report any health, safety, or near-miss incidents to supervisors.
    • Avoid misuse of equipment or safety devices meant for risk control.
  • Cross-Functional Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between departments (production, R&D, procurement) to ensure effective implementation of quality and food safety standards across operations.
    • Support implementation of Recipe and Bill of Material (BOM) management systems.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Quality Manager or Assistant Quality Manager to support quality assurance initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality or food safety role within the frozen bakery or baking industry
  • Successful completion of BRC and FSSC certification audits
  • Timely and accurate Recipe & BOM updates
  • Reduction in number and severity of customer complaints
  • Closure rate and timeliness of CAPA
  • Training compliance rate and audit readiness score
  • Experience working in a microbiology laboratory environment
  • Demonstrated involvement in BRC and FSSC 22000 implementation and certification processes
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, risk assessment, and hygiene practices.
