Quality Controller – Frozen Food opportunity in Kerala, India, is responsible for maintaining and enforcing quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance across all stages of frozen food production. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process operations, and finished frozen food products consistently meet defined quality standards, statutory requirements, and customer expectations. The position involves close supervision of hygiene practices, temperature controls, and food safety systems to safeguard product integrity and consumer safety.

Job Responsibilities – Quality Controller – Frozen Food

  • Inspect, verify, and approve incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor and control all production activities, including processing, freezing, packing, and storage, to ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, and HACCP plans.
  • Ensure cold chain integrity by routinely monitoring and recording temperatures of freezers, cold storage areas, blast freezers, and dispatch vehicles.
  • Conduct routine in-process and finished product quality checks, including sampling, visual inspections, and basic analytical or sensory testing as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, inspection reports, batch documentation, and product traceability logs.
  • Identify quality deviations, non-conformities, and food safety risks; promptly report findings and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure full compliance with FSSAI regulations, HACCP requirements, and internal quality and food safety standards.
  • Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, and sanitation teams to enhance hygiene practices, improve operational controls, and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives within the frozen food operation.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline (Preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food processing or frozen food manufacturing (Preferred).
