Quality Controller vacancy at a Bread and Baking Industry in Dubai, UAE and with the following Quality Controller experience and Food Safety:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily quality inspections of bread and bakery products to ensure they meet company standards for appearance, texture, taste, and hygiene.
  • Examine and verify the quality of raw materials such as flour, yeast, sugar, and other ingredients before production begins.
  • Monitor each stage of the bread production process — including dough mixing, fermentation, proofing, baking, cooling, slicing, and packaging — to ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure the implementation and continuous adherence to food safety management systems including HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, and assist in preparing documentation and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify areas of improvement in product quality, process efficiency, and hygiene control.
  • Train and guide production and packing staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report any non-conformities, quality issues, or hazards to the Quality Manager promptly and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or safety.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or bakery production environment.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 food safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, or holidays as required by production schedules.
