Consumer Food Products Manufacturing Industry in Sharjah UAE is looking for a Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

Accuracy in Quality Testing

  • Conduct all required quality control tests during the shift with 100% accuracy to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Record and report all test results in real time to avoid delays in processing or deviations in product quality.

Timely Corrective Actions

  • Immediately address any out-of-specification (OOS) results by notifying the production team and implementing corrective measures within 15–20 minutes.
  • Ensure minimal impact on production flow through swift and effective communication.

Efficient Shift Management:

  • Oversee all QC operations during the shift, ensuring seamless execution without missed tests or documentation lapses.
  • Maintain shift continuity by coordinating effectively with incoming and outgoing quality personnel.

Compliance with Food Safety Standards:

  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols such as FSSC 22000 and HACCP by following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Act as a frontline monitor for regulatory and internal compliance during production.

Issue Reporting and Escalation:

  • Promptly report any quality deviations, pest sightings, or food safety issues to the Assistant Technical Manager.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution to prevent production disruptions or safety risks.

6. Documentation and Traceability:

  • Maintain accurate and real-time documentation of all QC test results, production monitoring records, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure full traceability of data in line with quality and food safety standards, avoiding any backlogs.

Support Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate actively in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
  • Recommend and contribute to process improvements based on data trends and test outcomes.

Safety and Hygiene Monitoring:

  • Monitor and enforce strict compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations on the production floor.
  • Aim for zero incidents of non-compliance or unsafe practices during the shift.

Shift-End Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit accurate shift-end reports detailing test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure timely communication with the Assistant Technical Manager for follow-up actions.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications:
    • HACCP Level 3 certification (mandatory)
    • Additional training in food safety and quality systems is an advantage (e.g., ISO 22000, GMP, FSSC 22000).
  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of quality control experience in the food manufacturing industry (outside UAE), or
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience within the UAE food sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong hands-on experience in laboratory testing methods, including physico-chemical and organoleptic analysis.
    • Proficient in operating and maintaining standard QC lab equipment.
    • Knowledge of hygiene audits, food safety inspections, and GMP requirements.
  • Digital Literacy:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
