QA Supervisor vacancy at a leading Drinking water Industry in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will oversee microbiological testing, quality control activities, and internal audits to ensure that all water products meet the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Microbiology Laboratory Analysis

  • Conduct and supervise microbiological testing of water samples to verify product safety and compliance with UAE and international quality standards.
  • Analyze and interpret test results accurately, identifying any contamination risks or deviations from acceptable limits.
  • Implement corrective measures to address microbiological non-conformities and prevent recurrence.

2. Customer Complaint Handling

  • Investigate, verify, and resolve customer complaints related to product quality and safety.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain a log of all complaints, corrective measures, and verification records for management review.

3. Internal Audits and Compliance Monitoring

  • Perform regular internal audits across production, laboratory, maintenance, and storage departments to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, and ISO 22000 standards.
  • Document audit findings, identify non-conformances, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
  • Prepare for and assist during external audits such as Ha1a1, AIB, and US Army certifications.

4. Quality Control Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day quality operations across water processing, bottling, and packaging lines.
  • Inspect production lines to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene protocols.
  • Monitor and verify the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Review test data, identify quality trends, and recommend process improvements to management.

5. Team Supervision and Training

  • Lead, train, and support quality inspectors and laboratory technicians in performing routine quality checks and microbiological analyses.
  • Conduct refresher training sessions on quality standards, testing procedures, and food safety regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across all departments.

6. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory analyses, audit findings, and quality inspections.
  • Prepare and submit regular QA reports highlighting microbiological results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with audit and certification requirements.

7. Continuous Improvement and Regulatory Compliance

  • Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in local and international water quality standards and implement necessary updates in QA procedures.
  • Promote compliance with food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000) and support certification maintenance activities.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the drinking water or beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with microbiological testing, CAPA management, and internal auditing.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve quality and production goals.
