Microbiology -Academic Faculty position at a leading University in Ajman, UAE. This role is centered on academic excellence in teaching, research, and community service, with a strong emphasis on student success, innovation in education, and institutional development.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing the University’s mission by delivering high-quality microbiology education, contributing to scholarly research, supporting accreditation initiatives, and engaging with the academic and wider community across health sciences and allied disciplines.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Microbiology and related disciplines, catering to students in Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and other Health Sciences programs.
- Ensure course content, learning outcomes, and assessments align with Ajman University’s Teaching, Research, and Community Service pillars.
- Evaluate student academic performance through examinations, practical assessments, assignments, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic journey, research interests, and professional development.
- Integrate innovative teaching methodologies, including blended learning, digital platforms, case-based learning, and laboratory-based instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Research & Scholarly Contributions -Microbiology -Academic Faculty
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in microbiology and allied fields, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and academic conferences.
- Actively participate in research initiatives that support the University’s strategic goals and academic reputation.

Curriculum Development & Quality Assurance
- Microbiology -Academic Faculty Develop, review, and continuously update course syllabi, teaching materials, and instructional resources in line with international academic standards.
- Contribute to program accreditation, curriculum reviews, and institutional quality assurance processes.
- Maintain accurate academic records and documentation in compliance with university policies and accreditation requirements.
Service & Administrative Contributions
Microbiology -Academic Faculty Participate in departmental committees, academic boards, and university service activities. Support community engagement initiatives related to microbiology, public health, and life sciences.Perform additional academic or administrative duties as assigned to support departmental and university objectives.
Job Qualifications
- PhD in Microbiology from a recognized and accredited university.
- Graduation from an institution operating under the credit-hour system, with English as the primary medium of instruction.
- A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at the university or higher education level.
- Demonstrated research productivity, including publications in reputable academic journals.
- Relevant industry or applied microbiology experience will be considered an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of educational technologies, including presentation tools, learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital reporting systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Strong abilities in academic presentation design and delivery. Proven capacity to work effectively within multicultural and interdisciplinary Microbiology academic environments.Expertise in developing, editing, and managing academic and instructional content.Strong organizational skills with experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.Familiarity with student information systems, academic databases, and educational technologies.
Microbiologist -Instruction
- The role is primarily based within classrooms, laboratories, offices, and research facilities at Ajman University and its affiliated institutions.
- May require standing for extended periods during lectures, laboratory demonstrations, and practical sessions.
- Regular use of computers, laboratory equipment, presentation systems, and digital learning tools, in compliance with institutional safety and operational protocols.
Ajman -Microbiology
- The role is primarily based within classrooms, laboratories, offices, and research facilities at Ajman University and its affiliated institutions.
- May require standing for extended periods during lectures, laboratory demonstrations, and practical sessions.
