An advanced laboratory in Ajman handles a wide portfolio of tests covering construction materials, polymers, coatings, metals, civil engineering materials, and mechanical performance testing. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive chemical and mechanical testing of construction materials, polymers, coatings, metals, aggregates, concrete, and civil engineering materials following ASTM, BS, EN, and ISO standards.
• Perform routine QC analysis, prepare samples, maintain accurate lab records, and ensure all test results meet client specifications and internationally recognized standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot a range of laboratory instruments including tensile testing machines, compression testers, hardness testers, UV-vis, and material characterization equipment.
• Support the calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality guidelines.

• Prepare detailed test reports and documentation in line with internal QA/QC processes and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Assist in method development, new test procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Material Science Department.
• Ensure strict implementation of HSE, quality assurance, and laboratory safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with senior chemists, material engineers, and project teams to support mechanical testing projects, product evaluation, and material qualification programs.
• Provide technical support to supervisors and participate in audits, inspections, and client meetings when required.
• Contribute to laboratory workflow management, sample tracking, and efficient coordination of testing schedules.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory practices, analytical chemistry principles, and material testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ISO, EN, and BS standards used in construction material and mechanical testing laboratories.
• Good understanding of mechanical testing procedures such as tensile strength, compression, bend, elongation, hardness, and failure analysis.
• Proficiency in data interpretation, lab documentation, and preparation of analytical reports.

Chemistry Job in UAE

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a QC laboratory, chemical analysis, material testing, or mechanical testing environment.
• Prior experience working in the UAE or Middle East is an added advantage, especially for candidates searching for QC Chemist jobs in UAE or laboratory testing careers in UAE.
