Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety programs across all hotel departments.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with UAE health regulations and international standards.
- Identify hygiene gaps, recommend corrective actions, and track improvements in GMP, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
- Deliver training sessions on hygiene standards, food safety, and sanitation procedures to staff at all levels.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, F&B, and operations teams to resolve hygiene-related issues promptly.
- Monitor hygiene program effectiveness using data-driven insights and prepare compliance reports and hygiene metrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, training records, and hygiene performance.
- Stay updated with UAE health regulations, ISO standards, and emerging hygiene technologies.
- Respond to hygiene incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and implement preventive measures.
- Manage cleaning supplies, sanitation equipment, and ensure proper storage and stock levels.
- Adapt hygiene protocols to local climate conditions and cultural norms of Ras Al-Khaimah.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Food Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Hygiene Officer or similar role in hospitality, hotels, or food service.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety regulations, and hygiene audit processes.
- Qualified auditor with experience in conducting hygiene inspections and audits.
- Excellent communication and training skills for staff education on hygiene practices.
- Strong analytical skills to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Proficiency in HSE software, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve hygiene objectives.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of UAE health regulations, local hygiene practices, and hot climate adaptations.
