A reputed Food Testing Laboratory in Ajman is hiring a Junior Chemist – Food to support routine and advanced chemical analysis of food products. This role is ideal for early-career chemistry and Food Science Graduates with hands-on laboratory experience who are passionate about food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The Junior Chemist will work closely with senior analysts to ensure accurate testing, reliable results, and adherence to international laboratory standards.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analysis of food and beverage samples in accordance with approved test methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support testing activities related to carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and other food matrices.
- Prepare reagents, standards, and calibration solutions for routine laboratory testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments used in food chemical analysis.
- Record, calculate, and verify test results with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, laboratory safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in internal quality control activities, including sample tracking, documentation, and report preparation.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, proper chemical storage, and waste disposal practices.
- Collaborate with team members to meet testing timelines and laboratory performance targets.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a food testing laboratory or analytical laboratory environment.
- Practical knowledge of chemical testing techniques used in food analysis.
- Familiarity with routine laboratory procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to quality, accuracy, and traceability in laboratory testing environments is an advantage
- Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to strictly follow SOPs, test methods, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Good understanding of laboratory quality systems and data integrity.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when required.
