A leading fresh fruits company in Dubai is urgently hiring Food Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance across its operations. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with expertise in fresh produce safety, HACCP, and ISO standards to advance their careers in the UAE food industry.
The Food Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining food safety management systems within the fresh fruits supply chain. The role involves ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, HACCP principles, and international food safety standards while maintaining product quality from sourcing to distribution.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HACCP-based food safety systems across all operations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of fresh fruits to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments in compliance with food safety regulations in Dubai.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Train staff on food safety procedures, personal hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Monitor temperature control, pest control, and sanitation standards in storage and processing areas.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Stay updated with the latest food safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices in the UAE.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fresh fruits safety, handling, and post-harvest practices.
- HACCP Certification (Level 4 preferred) is mandatory.
- ISO certification or knowledge of ISO 22000 / FSMS is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or fresh produce industry.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and team coordination abilities.
- Male candidates are preferred for this role.
