Food Safety Officer for a leading café and Restaurant chain in Dubai with experience in the café or restaurant industry.Food Safety Officer to join a fast-growing food business and ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

Food Safety & Hygiene Management

  • Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality Food Safety Regulations and international standards.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) systems across café and restaurant operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of kitchen, storage, and service areas to ensure strict hygiene practices.
  • Monitor food handling, preparation, cooking, and storage processes to prevent contamination.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to food safety and hygiene.
  • Maintain proper documentation including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, pest control reports, and audit records.
  • Prepare for and manage municipality inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety guidelines.

Training & Staff Awareness

  • Conduct regular food safety training sessions for chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams.
  • Promote a strong food safety culture within the organization.
  • Ensure all staff follow personal hygiene standards and safe food handling practices.

Risk Management & Incident Handling

  • Identify food safety hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and safety.
  • Ensure proper allergen management and labeling practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in UAE as a Food Safety Officer in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality Food Code and local food safety regulations.
  • Certification in HACCP Level 3 or Level 4 (mandatory).
  • Additional certifications such as ISO 22000, Food Safety Level 2/3, or PIC Training are an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of GMP, GHP, and food hygiene standards.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and handle multiple outlets if required.
