Food Safety Officer – Abu Dhabi

A Healthcare Services Clinic and Hospital centre is hiring a Food Safety Officer for Abu hbai,UAE with the following :

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and Monitor Food Safety Programs:
  Enforce and maintain food safety policies, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards across all departments and processes.
• Conduct Internal Audits & Inspections:
  Perform routine hygiene inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and internal standards.
• Staff Training & Awareness:
  Deliver food safety and hygiene training sessions to food handlers and relevant staff to promote a strong food safety culture.

• Compliance & Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of inspections, corrective actions, risk assessments, and compliance reports for audits and regulatory bodies.
• Incident Management:
  Investigate non-compliance issues, foodborne illness reports, and contamination risks; recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Supplier and Raw Material Review:
  Assist in evaluating suppliers and incoming raw materials for safety and hygiene compliance.
• Coordination with Authorities:
  Liaise with local regulatory bodies such as the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) for inspections, permits, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Safety, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in food safety, preferably in the UAE food industry (hospitality, catering, or food manufacturing).
• In-depth knowledge of UAE food safety laws, ADAFSA guidelines, HACCP principles, ISO 22000, and food hygiene best practices.
• Certification in HACCP (minimum Level 3) is mandatory; PIC or BFST trainer approval is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
