A global leader in snacking, cereal, noodles, and plant-based foods, with iconic, world-class brands is looking for a Food Safety Leader in Sydney, Australia:
Responsibilities
- Ensures the development, compliance and certification of all food safety pre-requisite programs for the site
- Ensure that the Botany facility adheres to and meets all required Quality and food safety laws, regulations and corporate policies.
- Responsible for the annual pathogen validation, environment monitoring and allergen validations programs of the facility.
- Provide support before and during all internal and external Quality and Food Safety Audits.
- Accountable for all food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs
- Management of all food safety incidents including adverse events
- Review, maintain and update all documentation relating to food safety
- Management and development of a Food Quality Coordinator
Qualifications
- Degree qualification in either Food Science/Technology, Microbiology or equivalent
- HACCP certification is required
- A strong career track record in Food safety in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills – route cause analysis relating to food safety incidents
- An effective team player with the ability to work with teams at all levels
- Computer skills including Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
