Food Quality Analyst wanted in a leading Food Ingredients Industry in Chennai, India, to join a growing team in the food ingredients industry. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and certification processes.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining quality documentation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting import-export regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal teams and external auditors to ensure smooth and compliant operations across both domestic and international markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain, review, and update quality documentation, including SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), records, and compliance files.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and quality standards such as HACCP, ISO, FSSAI, and BRC across all operations.
  • Coordinate and manage certification processes, including ISO and HACCP audits, ensuring timely renewals and documentation readiness.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and assist in external audits by certification bodies and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor product quality and compliance across the production process and supply chain.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain records for regulatory submissions, inspections, and audits.
  • Identify gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems and documentation practices.
  • Support risk assessment, corrective actions, and preventive measures to enhance overall quality performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, documentation, or certification within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, BRCGS).
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation, international compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and documentation systems.
  • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple compliance tasks efficiently.
