Food Microbiologist for a food manufacturing company based in Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food microbiology testing, food safety compliance, hygiene monitoring, and laboratory documentation within the food industry. This role is critical in ensuring microbiological safety, product quality, and compliance with regulatory food safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished food products, and environmental swabs.
- Conduct routine tests including TPC, yeast & mold, coliform, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and other microbiological parameters as per product requirements.
- Monitor and verify hygiene and sanitation standards across production, processing, and storage areas.
- Carry out environmental monitoring and swab testing of food contact surfaces, equipment, and personnel hygiene.
- Maintain accurate microbiology laboratory records, reports, and test documentation in compliance with internal quality systems.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to address microbiological issues and corrective actions.
- Investigate out-of-specification microbiological results and support root cause analysis for contamination events.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSMS, and UAE food safety regulations.
- Assist in internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Support validation and verification of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor laboratory equipment calibration and ensure proper maintenance of microbiological testing instruments.
- Follow laboratory safety practices and maintain cleanliness of microbiology lab.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Microbiologist in the Food Industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of food microbiological testing methods and laboratory practices.
- Familiarity with food safety management systems, including HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and hygiene standards.
- Good understanding of contamination control and sanitation verification in food manufacturing environments.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional departments.
- Willingness to work on shift basis when required.
- Must be willing to relocate/work in Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be currently available in UAE.
- Visit Visa or Cancelled Residence Visa candidates preferred.
- Must be available for immediate joining.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: AED 2,500 per month (Negotiable Based on Experience)
- Accommodation: Provided by Company
- Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week
