An Arabian delicacy producing FMCG is looking for a Food Microbiologist with the following:
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological and sensory analyses of raw, in-process & finished products using reference and advanced microbiological test methods.
- Hold, release, and reject based on analysis.
- Perform sampling and sample collecting.
- Verify compliance and alert management of any deviations from specifications.
- Communicate with the lab equipment supplier to ensure that SOPs are updated and to quickly troubleshoot major problems in equipment.
- Manage stocking & inventory of lab supplies to ensure that all tests can be carried out immediately without any delay.
- Initiate and ensure that the 5S system is in place and updated.
- Responsible for daily finished product evaluations.
- Perform environment testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy, Food sciences, or related discipline
- 2-3 years experience in UHT Dairy & Juice microbiological analysis.
- Skill in operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ability to use proper research methods in gathering data & analyzing information, effectively communicate with others; and demonstrate manual dexterity to perform the required tests.
- Proficient with MS Office (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer programs.
