Food – Lab Technician

Food – Lab Technician to join a leading food manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi,UAE. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in laboratory testing, food quality control, and microbiological analysis within the water or beverage manufacturing sector.The Food Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and laboratory accuracy by performing standardized testing procedures and supporting production teams through timely inspections and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform sample collection, labeling, and preparation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure precise and reliable test results.
• Carry out routine inspection of production lines to ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Monitor water and beverage quality parameters, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal specifications.

• Inspect and document returned, rejected, or damaged products, ensuring traceability and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain proper documentation, test reports, and records in line with audit and compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely execution of all sampling and testing activities to meet turnaround time (TAT) targets.
• Support internal audits and external inspections related to food safety certifications and quality systems.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to identify deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing, water, or beverage production company.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing methods, microbiological analysis, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory documentation systems.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in reporting results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in water quality testing and beverage analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and international compliance standards.
• Ability to handle lab audits, inspections, and calibration processes.
• Proficiency in laboratory data recording systems and MS Office tools.
