Job Summary:
FoodTechSafety is looking for a meticulous and experienced Content Editor to join our remote team. You will be responsible for editing, proofreading, and improving content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across our website and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong background in food safety, food technology, or related fields and a passion for delivering high-quality, informative content to our audience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread blog posts, articles, job listings, and other content for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and style.
- Ensure all content adheres to the company’s guidelines, tone, and voice.
- Collaborate with content writers and subject matter experts to refine content and enhance readability.
- Perform fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of food safety and food technology information.
- Optimize content for SEO, ensuring relevant keywords are used effectively without compromising content quality.
- Maintain an editorial calendar and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
- Suggest improvements for better audience engagement, readability, and SEO performance.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with the overall strategy and brand messaging.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends in food safety, food technology, and digital content creation.
- Review and implement feedback from the content team and external partners.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Content Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role, preferably in the food industry or safety sector.
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and editorial best practices.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience editing SEO-optimized content.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar platforms.
- Experience in food safety, food technology, or related industries is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
