Retail Food Quality Controller

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of fresh, frozen, and packaged food products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor storage conditions, temperature controls, and shelf-life of perishable goods.
  • Ensure all food products meet Dubai Municipality regulations, HACCP, and ISO standards.
  • Investigate and report quality issues, product defects, and customer complaints.
  • Implement corrective actions to address non-compliance and quality deviations.
  • Train store staff on food safety, hygiene, and proper handling practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality control reports.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food quality control, preferably in a supermarket or retail food industry.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
