Spices Manufacturing Industry in Kerala, India (Kochi ) is looking for a Quality Assurance – Junior Executive with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) across production units.
- Conduct routine quality checks for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished spice products to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, records, and SOPs in line with company and food safety requirements.
- Support internal audits and external inspections by ensuring all required quality and safety protocols are met.
- Carry out chemical and physical analyses of spices and spice powders, including parameters such as moisture, volatile oil, ash content, and color.
- Identify deviations or non-conformities and assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and procurement to uphold consistent product quality.
- Promote a culture of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hygiene, and Food Safety at all stages of production.
Job Responsibilities
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology (or any related discipline).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the spices or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of QMS, FSMS, GMP, PRP, and HACCP standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 22000 and related food safety systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic hands-on experience in chemical analysis and testing of spices and spice powders.
- Ability to identify product quality issues and propose corrective measures.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
