The School Nutritionist will play a critical role in ensuring balanced meal planning, food safety compliance, and nutrition education while supporting the school’s commitment to sustainability, wellbeing, and holistic student development.
The School Nutritionist will oversee the nutritional quality of all food services within the school, ensuring compliance with UAE food safety regulations and international best practices. You will collaborate closely with the catering team, school leadership, parents, and students to promote healthy eating habits, balanced diets, and overall wellness.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, balanced meal plans aligned with child nutrition guidelines, caloric requirements, and dietary diversity standards
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure menus meet nutritional adequacy, portion control standards, and cultural preferences
- Monitor and evaluate the nutritional composition, ingredient quality, and food presentation in the school cafeteria
- Conduct regular audits of food services to ensure compliance with UAE food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Perform nutritional assessments for students, including those with allergies, intolerances, diabetes, obesity, or other health conditions
- Recommend personalized nutrition interventions and meal modifications for students with special dietary needs
- Provide professional guidance to parents and staff regarding healthy eating habits, meal planning, and lifestyle improvements
- Organize and deliver nutrition education workshops, awareness campaigns, and wellness programs for students across different age groups
- Support the integration of nutrition education into classroom learning and school events
- Maintain detailed documentation of meal plans, dietary restrictions, nutritional assessments, and compliance records
- Participate in school health initiatives, sustainability projects, and wellness-focused events
