Restaurant chains in Saudi Arabia and the areU is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer with the following :
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct Quality Audits:
Perform regular, scheduled, and surprise quality assurance inspections across restaurants, central kitchens, and franchise outlets within Saudi Arabia and other GCC markets to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. - Ensure Regulatory Compliance:
Verify that all food safety and quality practices align with local (SFDA) and international standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and other applicable food safety management systems. - Deliver Training & Awareness:
Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops for restaurant staff, operations teams, and franchise partners on food safety, hygiene, and quality management systems to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor Quality Control Processes:
Review and evaluate all in-store and supply chain quality control procedures, ensuring they meet the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements where necessary. - Supplier Liaison:
Work closely with approved suppliers to regularly assess and enhance the safety, consistency, and quality of raw materials and products delivered to stores and central kitchens. - Handle Customer Feedback:
Analyze customer complaints and feedback related to product quality or safety, perform root cause investigations, and coordinate with store and operations teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). - Maintain Comprehensive Documentation:
Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all audits, inspection reports, training activities, supplier assessments, and any corrective actions taken to ensure traceability and accountability. - Support Franchise Development:
Collaborate with the franchise development team to evaluate new and existing franchise partners from a food safety and compliance perspective, ensuring all outlets maintain required standards.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Food Safety within the Food & Beverage, Restaurant, or Food Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience conducting internal and external food safety audits and working directly with regulatory authorities such as the SFDA.
- Solid understanding of Saudi food safety regulations and international standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety management systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and train multi-disciplinary teams.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across different cities and regions within Saudi Arabia and the GCC as operationally required.
