A Restaurant Group in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Restaurant Food Safety Supervisor with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, storage areas, dining areas, and facilities to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Document inspection findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and deliver food safety training programs for all restaurant staff management..
- Ensure all employees understand and adhere to proper food handling techniques, hygiene practices, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local health regulations and ensure the restaurant operates in compliance with these standards.
- Manage documentation related to food safety inspections, staff training records, and regulatory permits.
- Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, or outbreaks promptly.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate risks and ensure food safety.
- Collaborate with restaurant suppliers and vendors to verify the quality and safety of food ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor supplier compliance with food safety requirements by supplier audits.
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures for food safety crises, such as contamination incidents or foodborne illness outbreaks.
- Coordinate with restaurant management and authorities as needed during emergencies.
- Implement and maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles to prevent food safety hazards.
- Recommend improvements to food safety protocols based on industry trends and regulatory updates.
- Communicate regularly with restaurant management and staff regarding food safety updates, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a culture of food safety awareness and accountability among all employees.
Qualifications – Restaurant Food Safety
- A bachelor’s degree in food science, public health, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in food safety management within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of local health codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication in English and Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Restaurant Food Safety Supervisor is advantageous.
