A Restaurant Group in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Restaurant Food Safety Supervisor with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, storage areas, dining areas, and facilities to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Document inspection findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and deliver food safety training programs for all restaurant staff management..
  • Ensure all employees understand and adhere to proper food handling techniques, hygiene practices, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local health regulations and ensure the restaurant operates in compliance with these standards.
  • Manage documentation related to food safety inspections, staff training records, and regulatory permits.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, or outbreaks promptly.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate risks and ensure food safety.
  • Collaborate with restaurant suppliers and vendors to verify the quality and safety of food ingredients and supplies.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with food safety requirements by supplier audits.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures for food safety crises, such as contamination incidents or foodborne illness outbreaks.
  • Coordinate with restaurant management and authorities as needed during emergencies.
  • Implement and maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles to prevent food safety hazards.
  • Recommend improvements to food safety protocols based on industry trends and regulatory updates.
  • Communicate regularly with restaurant management and staff regarding food safety updates, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of food safety awareness and accountability among all employees.

Qualifications – Restaurant Food Safety

  • A bachelor’s degree in food science, public health, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in food safety management within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of local health codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication in English and Arabic is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in Restaurant Food Safety Supervisor is advantageous.
