Restaurant Food Quality Controller wanted at a leading Arabic Restaurant in Dubai, UAE. Restaurant Food Quality Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food quality, hygiene, and safety compliance within the restaurant. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all food preparation, storage, and service processes meet high-quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor daily food preparation, cooking processes, and presentation standards to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and authenticity of Arabic/Mandi cuisine.
- Conduct routine quality inspections in kitchen, storage areas, and service stations to ensure strict adherence to food hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Verify temperature control logs, cold chain compliance, and food storage conditions to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
- Check expiry dates, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO practices) to ensure safe food handling.
- Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and local health authority requirements.
- Identify, report, and take corrective action on any food safety hazards, non-conformities, or hygiene violations.
- Coordinate closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams to resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct staff training and awareness sessions on food safety, hygiene practices, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate quality control reports, inspection records, and audit documentation.
- Support internal and external food safety audits and inspections.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Quality Controller, Food Safety Officer, or QA/QC professional in the food service or hospitality industry.
- Experience in Arabic cuisine or Mandi restaurant operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety management systems, GMP, and hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations and inspection requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and manage multiple inspections daily.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
- Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Safety, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
