Research Assistant Biotechnology or Research Biotechnologist oppurtunity to join a Research & Development (Quality Control Research) Department at Dubai, UAE.
Job Responsibilities
Enzyme Assays and Laboratory Testing
- Set up, standardize, and validate enzyme assays.
- Calibrate assay accuracy using blind sampling tests.
- Conduct enzyme assays on production samples and market samples collected by the Marketing Department.
- Issue Quality Control (QC) approval or rejection reports within one working day of sample collection.
- Provide assay reports within the timeline specified in the assay request form.
Protein Analysis and Molecular Techniques
- Conduct protein research and analysis using SDS Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), chromatography, and blotting techniques.
- Support enzyme molecular biology and microbiology research activities.
- Contribute to fermentation development processes for enzyme production.
Lot Approval and Documentation
- Perform lot approval and rejection testing for production batches.
- Maintain systematic records of all assays conducted and research performed.
- Update and manage product specification documents as approved by the Department Head.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, including MSDS for laboratory reagents and products.
Product Development and Stability Studies
- Assist in the formulation of new biotechnology products under the supervision of the product development and application team.
- Conduct accelerated and long-term stability studies for both existing and newly developed products.
GMP Compliance and Equipment Monitoring
- Monitor calibration of laboratory and production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with GMP cleanliness and hygiene standards in laboratory and production areas.
- Submit weekly GMP compliance reports in the approved format.
- Maintain environmental and safety standards at all times, including adherence to municipality directives regarding laboratory protective equipment.
Job Qualifications
- Experience Required: 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Education: M.Sc. / M.Tech in Biotechnology or Biochemistry PhD in Biotechnology
