Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Food – Hiring a Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Dubai with hands-on experience in Dubai Municipality product registration for cosmetics, health supplements, and food products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with UAE and GCC regulations, and coordinating with authorities to secure timely product approvaThis role requires strong knowledge of Montaji Registration System, regulatory documentation, labelling compliance, and ongoing product lifecycle management in the UAE market.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle product registration and approval through the Dubai Municipality Montaji System for cosmetics, health supplements, and food products
- Ensure full compliance with UAE, GCC, and Dubai Municipality regulations and applicable standards
- Prepare, review, and submit complete regulatory dossiers including:
- Product formulations
- Product labels (Arabic & English compliance)
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Certificates of Analysis (COA)
- Free Sale Certificates, Health Certificates, and supporting documents
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, laboratories, and local authorities to obtain required documentation
- Manage the end-to-end submission process, addressing queries, deficiencies, and follow-ups from Dubai Municipality
- Monitor updates to UAE cosmetic, food, and supplement regulations and communicate regulatory changes internally
- Maintain accurate regulatory records, product files, approvals, and renewal schedules
- Support product lifecycle management including renewals, variations, and amendments
- Ensure product claims, ingredients, and labeling meet regulatory and safety requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations for cosmetics, health supplements, and food registration
- Practical experience with the Montaji System
- Excellent regulatory documentation and compliance management skills
- Ability to manage multiple submissions and meet tight deadlines
- Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams and authorities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Prior experience working with UAE regulatory authorities such as Dubai Municipality
- Knowledge of GSO standards, ingredient compliance, and labelling regulations.
