An FMCG Trading company with Bakery Ingredients Manufacturing is hiring a Quality Officer for UAE with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and verify quality checklists to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Provide line clearances to confirm readiness for production.
- Coordinate for batch clearance and ensure compliance with release criteria.
- Perform online inspections, including:
- Pre-weigh checks to verify ingredient accuracy before blending.
- CCP (Critical Control Point) monitoring to ensure food safety compliance.
- Weight monitoring for consistent product quality.
- Shift-wise inspections of sieves, bulk materials, and final product analysis.
- Chemical analysis to validate product formulation.
- Magnet monitoring to detect potential contaminants.
- Maintain updated versions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Pre-Requisite Programs (PRPs), Operational Pre-Requisite Programs (OPRPs), Quality Documents (QDs), and both operational and non-operational records.
- Perform 80% shopfloor-based work and 20% system-based work to ensure quality control.
- Verify all raw ingredients before being loaded into the blender.
- Monitor and verify all CCPs (Critical Control Points) during the production process.
- Ensure that all processes are followed according to the established SOPs.
- Conduct Right First Time (RFT) monitoring to minimize errors and improve efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) on the shopfloor.
- Support in cycle counts for inventory verification within the section.
3. Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist the Quality Manager with internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve quality-related issues on a daily basis.
4. Laboratory Testing & Equipment Calibration
- Conduct product testing in the laboratory for batch release and quality assurance.
- Handle calibration and maintenance of lab equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze test results and report findings to the Quality Manager.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- As defined by the Line Manager, focusing on quality control efficiency, compliance adherence, and audit performance.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Food Technology (mandatory).
- Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality control within the food industry.
