Seeking a Quality Controller to ensure the highest standards of food safety and product quality in our ice cream production facility. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the dairy industry, particularly ice cream manufacturing.
Job Responsibilites
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor food safety and quality assurance programs, including HACCP, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ISO standards.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state food safety regulations and maintain up-to-date documentation for audits.
- Perform internal and external audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation protocols within the production facility.
- Oversee allergen control programs and ensure preventive measures are in place to avoid cross-contamination.
- Manage foreign material control programs to prevent product contamination.
Product Testing & Analysis
- Utilize analytical equipment and laboratory testing methods to conduct microbiological, chemical, and sensory (organoleptic) evaluations of products.
- Verify that all products meet ingredient, packaging, manufacturing, and finished goods specifications.
- Assist in investigating and resolving quality-related complaints and non-conformances, applying root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions (CA), and preventive actions (PA).
- Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for quality improvement and implement process optimizations.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and maintenance, to maintain high-quality standards.
Job Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of experience in the dairy industry (Experience in the ice cream industry is a strong advantage).
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality assurance principles, including HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with sanitary design, pest control, and preventive controls for allergens and foreign materials.
- Knowledge of quality control testing methodologies in microbiology, chemistry, and sensory analysis.
- Proficiency in documentation, report generation, and relevant software applications for quality monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis (RCA), corrective action (CA), and preventive action (PA).
