FMCG Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality Controller Supervisor with the following:,

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement Food Safety and Quality Standards
    • Ensure effective implementation of food safety protocols and quality control measures across all Distribution Centre (DC) operations, aligned with company standards and international food safety guidelines.
  • Conduct On-Site Inspections
    • Regularly inspect inbound, storage, and outbound processes to ensure compliance with operational procedures and food safety standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance Monitoring
    • Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to food safety regulations including HACCP, FSSC 22000, Dubai Municipality standards, and other relevant food safety certifications.
  • Routine Audits and Assessments
    • Execute periodic internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with hygiene, storage, handling, and transportation standards. Document findings and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Product Registration & Regulatory Collaboration
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies for timely registration and approval of food products. Ensure all documentation and processes comply with UAE regulatory requirements.
  • Training & Awareness Programs
    • Design, schedule, and deliver food safety training and awareness sessions for DC staff, particularly food handlers, as per annual training plans.
  • Sampling and Laboratory Testing
    • Conduct regular product sampling and coordinate lab testing to validate compliance with microbiological, chemical, and physical food safety parameters.
  • Customer Complaint Resolution
    • Investigate quality-related customer complaints and non-conformities. Identify root causes and implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain up-to-date and traceable records of inspections, corrective actions, training, and product test reports to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Regulatory Updates and Best Practices
    • Stay current with evolving food safety legislation and industry best practices. Update internal procedures to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
  • Audit Facilitation
    • Prepare for and actively participate in external audits conducted by regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and key clients.
  • Operational Feedback and Improvement
    • Provide regular performance feedback and actionable insights to improve food quality, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency within the DC.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and planning teams to integrate quality assurance protocols into all aspects of the supply chain.

Job Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in quality control or food safety, preferably in a food distribution, FMCG, or cold chain logistics environment.
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, PIC certification, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of food safety systems, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Proficient in conducting audits, preparing quality documentation, and handling customer complaints.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage a team under pressure.
  • Languages:
    • Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic or Hindi is an added advantage.
  • Others:
    • Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations and Dubai Municipality systems.
    • Flexibility to work in shifts and perform occasional field visits across the supply chain.
