Al Ain Mills in Ajman UAE is looking for a Quality Controller – QC Supervisor with the following
Job Responsibilities
- Raw Material Inspection: Check the quality of incoming wheat and other raw materials.
- In-Process Testing: Conduct tests at various stages of the milling process to ensure consistency and quality.
- Final Product Testing: Verify that the finished flour meets specified standards for moisture, protein content, ash content, and other parameters.
- Method Validation: Ensure that testing methods comply with industry standards such as AACCI (American Association of Cereal Chemists International) and ICC (International Association for Cereal Science and Technology).
- Calibration: Regularly calibrate equipment to maintain accuracy in testing.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all tests and inspections.
- SAP Record Management: Keep accurate digital records of quality control activities in SAP.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations.
- Safety Protocols: Implement and monitor safety measures to prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in the milling sector.
- Certifications: Strong knowledge of Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and food safety standards.

Final Product Testing:
- Conduct thorough quality checks on the finished flour to ensure it meets specified industry and company standards.
- Analyze key parameters such as moisture content, protein levels, ash content, gluten strength, and other essential quality attributes.
- Utilize laboratory equipment and analytical methods to verify the consistency and compliance of the final product.
- Identify and report any deviations from the required specifications and take corrective action if necessary.
Method Validation:
- Ensure that all testing methods used in quality control comply with recognized industry standards such as AACCI (American Association of Cereal Chemists International) and ICC (International Association for Cereal Science and Technology).
- Regularly review and update testing procedures to align with the latest scientific advancements and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct method validation studies to confirm the accuracy, precision, and reliability of testing methods.
- Train the quality control team on validated methods to ensure consistent and accurate test results.

Calibration:
- Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment, including moisture analyzers, protein analyzers, and ash content testers, to ensure accurate measurements.
- Develop and maintain a calibration schedule for all testing instruments used in the quality control process.
- Document calibration records and ensure they comply with industry standards and audit requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
