Quality Controller for a leading meal plans and food delivery company in Dubai. The Quality Controller plays a critical frontline role in ensuring food quality, portion accuracy, temperature control, packaging standards, and hygiene compliance during daily production and dispatch operations.

Working closely with the Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) team, the QC ensures that all ready-to-eat meals meet internal quality specifications, HACCP-based food safety standards, and customer expectations before dispatch. This role serves as the final checkpoint between production and delivery, identifying deviations in real-time and ensuring full compliance with UAE food safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and physical quality checks during and after meal portioning
  • Ensure consistency in portion size, ingredient accuracy, calorie compliance, and presentation standards
  • Verify label accuracy including allergens, nutritional information, production and expiry dates
  • Monitor and record temperatures of meals, chillers, freezers, storage units, and dispatch coolers
  • Ensure strict compliance with cold chain management standards.

  • Inspect packaging integrity, seal quality, and allergen segregation
  • Escalate temperature deviations, damaged packaging, or food safety risks immediately
  • Monitor hygiene practices including PPE usage, glove changes, and handwashing compliance

  • Maintain accurate QC logs, batch verification records, and inspection checklists

Job Qualifications

  • Basic Food Safety Training (Mandatory)
  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality Control, Food Production, Catering, or Meal Delivery Services
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP, PRPs, and food hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with chilled food handling and ready-to-eat meal safety requirements
  • Ability to read and understand product labels, batch sheets, and quality specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field (Preferred)
