A leading Fruit and Vegetable processing FMCG is hiring a Quality Controller Manager with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Department Oversight: Lead and manage the Quality Control & Assurance department, ensuring around-the-clock operational support through efficient manpower allocation and team supervision.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Barakat’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems as well as compliance with relevant UAE and international food safety regulations.
- Quality Standardization: Establish, implement, and sustain consistent quality control protocols across production lines, packaging, sanitation, storage, and office operations.
- System Auditing: Identify gaps in existing quality systems, document non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and follow up with stakeholders and senior management.
- IPO Cycle Enforcement: Oversee quality checkpoints across the Input-Process-Output (IPO) cycle, including raw material inspections, in-process quality verification, finished goods evaluations, and storage condition audits.
- Product Launch Support: Ensure all new products, SKUs, and variants are subjected to rigorous QA testing and gain formal approval before launch in the market.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects focused on food safety, quality optimization, and process efficiency. Participate in internal and external food safety audits.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Production, Procurement, R&D, and Compliance departments to ensure integrated quality and safety practices across the organization.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Postgraduate degree (Master’s preferred) in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Control & Assurance within the food manufacturing or food processing industry.
- Certifications:
- HACCP Certification (mandatory)
- ISO 22000 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor Certification
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Proficient in ISO standards, GMP, GHP, and HACCP
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
