A Japanese Bakery Chain of Restaurants and Cafes in Dubai, UAE is hiring a Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain all the standard recipes/product standards/quality guidelines & coordinate with concerned parties to update as & when necessary.

Conduct regular audits on products, procedures, stores, warehouses, etc. to ensure that the standards are met & quality guidelines are being followed

Monitor supplier performance through supplier visits & inspections, conducting spot checks on deliveries & other means to ensure that the sources of the material meet the required quality standards.

Prepare periodical reports on audits, observations & other activities & forward for management information & actions of those concerned parties.

Follow up on the audit findings & corrective or preventive actions to ensure that the guidelines are met & improvements are made accordingly.

Monitor visual merchandising / display & ensure that they are in line with company standards & guidelines

Suggest methods to improve quality standards through various means such as use of technology, more efficient work processes, industry best practices, etc.

  • Operations & Administration

1. Assist in the regular operations as & when required.

2. Interact with customers and collect customer feedback from all outlets & present periodical report to Management including the type of complaint, actions taken to handle the customer & steps taken internally to investigate & prevent repetition.

3. Director customer complaints to concerned parties for their actions & follow ups.

4. Attend to any customer feedback received through various online channels, consult management & respond accordingly.

5. Maintain all the documentation / files required by local authorities for Central Kitchen such as Trade License, Health Cards & any other local authority requirements.

6. Ensure the documentation / files required by the food safety management system is updated & maintained up to date for any inspection.

7. Use Food Watch platform & update the information required concerning Central Kitchen.

8. Monitor & review the production requests from outlets to ensure that the requests placed by the outlets are based on actual requirements for the day.

9. Verify placed orders with outlets to ensure accuracy of forecasted sales mix for the day.

10. Analyze the sales mix of outlets & present data periodically to the management to identify trends, business patterns, customer demands in order to make informed decisions.

11. Assist in the administration tasks such as Duty Schedules, attendance, vacation plans, etc.

Job Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in hospitality/restaurant management

At least 5 years experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry with minimum 2 year experience in similar role

Attention to detail, Analytical skills, problem-solving skills,

Advanced computer skills in MS Office packages

Excellent communication skills in both Written & verbal in English
