A Food Stuff Trading and FMCG Company in Ajman, UAE is looking for a Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust Quality Control (QC) procedures across all production processes.
  • Conduct daily inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Identify non-conformities, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure all products meet company specifications and UAE food safety regulations.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP compliance.
  • Perform regular process validation and verification activities to monitor production performance.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse departments to ensure end-to-end product quality.
  • Manage internal and third-party food safety audits and prepare detailed audit reports.
  • Supervise and mentor the Quality Control team to ensure accuracy and consistency in quality checks.
  • Conduct training sessions on hygiene, food safety, and quality control best practices for production staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the QC department.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspection data, test results, and non-conformity reports.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly QC performance reports to management.
  • Ensure adherence to municipal and food authority requirements in the UAE.
  • Support product recall and traceability processes when necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of QC experience in the food or beverage industry (UAE experience preferred).
  • Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of HACCP principles, ISO 22000 standards, and GMP practices.
    • Familiar with UAE Food Control Regulations and documentation procedures.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical, observation, and documentation abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data recording and reporting.
    • Effective communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and focus.
  • Language: Fluency in English (Arabic or Hindi is an added advantage).
