A Dates and Milk Protein product manufacturing company in Umm Al Quain UAE is hiring a Quality Controller with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Review and analyze production processes to identify potential areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality assurance activities for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures, protocols, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to quality management systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that during all parts of the production schedule, the product meets all guidelines related to federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to the industry.
- Stay informed about industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in quality control to proactively address compliance issues and incorporate best practices.
- Communicate with management and other team members when problems arise and offer possible solutions to help correct any mistakes during manufacturing.
- Assess quality assurance strategies periodically to determine best practices and improvements that could lead to fewer problems and interruptions in the production schedule.
- Update and maintain documentation related to internal quality control (IQC) procedures, including calibration records, proficiency testing, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Monitor and maintain quality control equipment and instruments.
- Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of laboratory equipment and facilities, following all applicable protocols and regulations.
- Perform microbiological testing of food samples, including microbial enumeration, and pathogen detection, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Proven 2-3 work experience as a Quality Control Specialist in related field.
- Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality control.
- Proficiency in a variety of microbiological techniques, including microbial culturing sequencing.
- Good Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts effectively.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team at Dates and Milk Protein processing.
