A fast-growing, healthy restaurant brand in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Quality Control Inspector -A Restaurant dedicated to delivering nutritious, high-quality meals and an exceptional dining experience to our customers. As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure that our operations consistently meet the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance policies, SOPs, and procedures in compliance with UAE food safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of kitchens, storage areas, service counters, and equipment to ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, verifying the quality of raw materials and ingredients.
- Train and guide staff on best practices for food safety, hygiene, and quality control to maintain compliance with HACCP standards.
- Evaluate and monitor suppliers for quality compliance.
- Ensure all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging meet established standards before use.
- Monitor and Manage Supplier Performance
- • Track and document supplier performance, including product quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with food safety standards.
- • Initiate corrective actions and develop improvement plans when inconsistencies or non-compliance are identified.
- Conduct and Document Internal Audits
- • Lead internal quality audits and hygiene inspections across all departments.
- • Prepare clear and detailed audit reports, highlight any non-conformities, and recommend suitable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Promote Cross-Department Collaboration
- • Work closely with operations, kitchen, purchasing, and management teams to ensure consistent product quality and smooth workflow.
- • Support decision-making by providing data, quality insights, and improvement recommendations.
- Stay Updated with Industry Standards
- • Keep updated with the latest trends in food safety, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP/GHP, and restaurant hygiene practices.
- • Implement new guidelines, policies, and regulatory updates into current procedures.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Projects
- • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing wastage, and minimizing errors.
- • Use quality data to identify trends and support process optimization.
- Recommend Innovations and Best Practices
- • Suggest new technologies, hygiene practices, and food handling improvements to maintain a safe and high-quality food environment.
- • Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practice guidelines.
- Support Regulatory & Compliance Activities
- • Assist during external inspections by regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- • Ensure all quality-related activities, reports, and documentation are completed, filed, and available for compliance checks.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, Quality Assurance Supervisor, or similar role in the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Solid knowledge of UAE food safety regulations, HACCP guidelines, and hygiene standards.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies, SOPs, and manuals for all restaurant operations.
- Ensure that all procedures comply with UAE food safety regulations, HACCP guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Arabic nationality preferred.
