A Chocolate manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi UAE, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector in Food Safety with the following:,

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Monitoring:
    Oversee and inspect every stage of the chocolate production process, including the handling of raw materials such as cocoa beans, milk, sugar, and flavoring agents to ensure conformity with established food safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
  • Facility Audits:
    Conduct frequent audits of production areas to assess equipment sanitation, storage conditions, pest control, and overall hygiene practices.
  • Product Evaluation:
    Verify that all chocolate products meet internal specifications for appearance, flavor, texture, weight, and shelf-life before release to the market.
  • Laboratory Testing:
    Perform and interpret laboratory analyses on raw ingredients, in-process samples, and finished goods using standard testing methods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure full compliance with international food safety systems including HACCP, ISO 22000, and other local regulatory requirements related to the chocolate and confectionery industry.
  • Environmental Controls:
    Monitor and manage production environment variables such as temperature, humidity, and ventilation to prevent product spoilage and maintain consistency in product quality.
  • Deviation Handling:
    Identify, investigate, and document any deviations from safety or quality standards. Work closely with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Recordkeeping:
    Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of inspection results, audit findings, testing data, and corrective actions in line with company policy and regulatory demands.
  • Staff Training:
    Provide ongoing training to production and warehouse staff on food safety practices, sanitation standards, and quality control procedures specific to chocolate manufacturing.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay current with industry advancements, food safety technologies, and quality control methodologies to suggest and implement improvements in processes and product quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience:
    Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in food safety and quality control, ideally within the chocolate or confectionery industry.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, ISO 22000 standards, and local food safety regulations. Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques and chocolate production equipment is essential.

  • Skills Required:
    • Keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality concerns
    • Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Competency in using inspection tools and lab equipment
  • Certifications:
    Valid certifications in HACCP, ISO, or other recognized food safety programs are highly preferred.
