A leading Educational Institute in Tamil Nadu, India is looking for a Food Quality Control Executive with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement, monitor, and maintain quality assurance protocols across all production activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other applicable food safety standards.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare the facility for external inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Process Monitoring & Control
- Carry out routine inspections and audits of production processes, sanitation practices, packaging operations, and storage conditions.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in line with HACCP requirements.
- Support the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across the facility.
- Testing & Analysis
- Collect and analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and regulatory specifications.
- Document and report testing results, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective measures.
- Continuous Improvement & CAPA
- Investigate customer complaints and perform root cause analysis.
- Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring quality issues.
- Recommend process improvements for enhanced food safety and efficiency.
- Investigate customer complaints and perform root cause analysis.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain and update all SOPs, quality manuals, inspection checklists, records, and audit reports.
- Ensure traceability and proper record-keeping in compliance with audit requirements.
- Training & Team Support
- Conduct training sessions for production and quality staff on food safety, GMP, hygiene standards, and quality control procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and supply chain for quality assurance of raw materials and finished goods.
Job Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the food manufacturing or processing industry.
- Prior experience working in a NABL-accredited laboratory is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, ISO standards, GMP, and FSSAI requirements.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and documentation practices.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and address non-conformities.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
